I Write Therefore I Am
Linda Goodman may not agree with me but this Aquarian is an incurable dreamer. A bundle of optimism with a wandering mind, wandering feet and a kaleidoscope of dreams.....that’s me.
Wife, mother, cook, housekeeper, teacher, beautician, tinker, tailor, gardener, event manager, I am a bit of everything. The caps I have donned in my various avatars can easily fill up a few shelves. I sing the tunes my family wants me to sing and dance on their tunes whenever I am required to do so because they will always come first.
I am learning all the time. The lessons come from my gardener, watchman, children, neighbours and even our dog. In fact, they come from everyone I meet.
Words tantalise me. I express, therefore I am. By no means an expert, I often grapple with words that have an exasperating habit of eluding me at the right moment. Often, I find myself struggling with writers' block; that moody boulder that refuses to budge.
I capture images that catch my attention - some are trapped in my mind and others in my camera. I chance upon these images as I journey through life. The experiences and travels remain trapped in my RAM (random access memory), to be tapped upon whenever I wish to experiment with words......
A self confessed word-a-holic and a traveller, I am sure to be packing my bags and boots to zip around the world when not brandishing a pen. With two successful novels, few best-selling non-fiction titles and a few hundred travel tales under the belt, I am all set to launch into yet another voyage of words. After leading a nomadic life for several decades, thanks to the Indian Army, I have finally grown roots at Pune.
